Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital is the most established Paediatric hospital in East and Central Africa. The hospital provides healthcare to children in Nairobi and its environs as well as those referred from all over Kenya and neighboring countries. In addition to the one hundred bed facility at Muthaiga, the hospital runs a network of sixteen (16) outpatient facilities located in the suburbs of Nairobi and other parts of the Country.

To continue delivering on our promise of quality healthcare for children, we are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the following position:-

Project Officer (1)

Main Purpose of this Position

Supporting Gertrude’s Institute of Child Health & Research training activities, implementation of specialized diagnostic services in the counties and ensuring training-related monitoring and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Gertrude’s Institute of Child Health & Research (GICHR) to advertise, shortlist candidates for training.
  • Engage with partners, secure contracts for specialized laboratory testing.
  • Ensure demand creation for the specialized laboratory testing.
  • Enroll practitioners with the GCH specialized laboratory portal.
  • Ensure seamless flow from collection of specimens, delivery, dispatch of results.
  • Customer service management.
  • Coordinate mentorship program for GICHR graduates in the counties.
  • Prepare project reports to funding partners.

 

Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

  1. Diploma in a clinical related field
  2. Project Management training will be an added advantage.
  3. Qualification in sales will also be an added advantage.
  4. Ability to work independently and to use initiative and independent judgment.
  5. Proven leadership, planning, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  6. Ability to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
