Vacancy Announcement Oncology Tutor
MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
To deliver quality teaching to students and produce qualified professional oncology nurses.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate learning activities in Paediatric Oncology program
2. Provide theoretical and clinical instructions of students to ensure mastery of skills.
3. Monitor students’ performance to maintain instructional standard.
4. Develop and review curriculum in line with Nursing Council requirements.
5. Conduct tests for (theory and practical) and evaluation of student’s assignment and performance
6. Maintains clinical capabilities via regular clinical practice and take responsibility for own professional development.
7. Participate in quality programs, clinical audit and research.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BscN).
2. Higher National Diploma in Oncology/Paediatric Oncology nursing or equivalent
3. Must have a minimum of one (1) year working experience as a Tutor.
4. Certification as a TVET instructor is desirable and an added advantage.
5. Certificate in any Paediatric Resuscitation skills will be an added advantage.
6. Valid Nursing Council of Kenya Practice license.
7. Nursing Council of Kenya Registration Certificate.
