Certificate in Healthcare Assistant(Health Services Support)

Introduction

The world at large has seen an increased demand for health care services. This has been due to increased life expectancy resulting in an aging population as well as pharmaceutical and technological advancements that have led to sophisticated treatments among others. This has necessitated a shift in the allocation of roles bringing about the emergence of healthcare support assistants.

Their duties include those related to general patient hygiene, basic nutrition assistance, ambulation, and mobilization which are under supervision by a registered nurse.
