Dr Nabulindo is a specialist consultant Paediatric Anaesthesiologist at the Gertrude’s Childrens’ Hospital since 2023. Earlier she practised at the hospital as a visiting consultant since 2014. She completed her fellowship in 2014 at the University of Nairobi with external rotations at Boston Childrens’ Hospital and Monroe Carell Childrens’ Hospital at Vanderbilt in the USA. She has thus gained extensive experience in managing anaesthesia needs of children of all ages and complexity of disease in the perioperative period. At GCH Dr Nabulindo is involved in offering anaesthesia services to our surgical patients of all ages. She is also involved in running the Acute Pain Service and Paediatric Procedural Sedation service. Dr Nabulindo has extensive experience in medical education having taught at a leading medical school for 12 years. She is also involved in research in paediatric anaesthesia. At GCH, she trains healthcare practitioners in acute pain management and paediatric procedural sedation. As a healthcare management specialist, she has interest in optimizing available resources to make high quality anaesthesia services available to as many children as possible. She is also a big advocate of parental involvement in management of the paediatric surgical patient.
