Les Baillie – Chairman
Les became the Chairman of Gertrude’s Hospital Foundation at its inception in September 2010. He is also the Executive Director of the MPESA Foundation and a Trustee of the Safaricom Foundation. In addition, he is on the Board of three other local NGOs, Junior Achievement Kenya, Enablis East Africa and The Gender Violence Recovery Centre and is a non-executive director of Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Limited.
Kilu Shah is an entrepreneur and businessman. He is the Managing Director of Flexopak Kenya Ltd and has been involved in various activities at Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital since 1995. He joined the Board of Trustees in December 2008.
Terry Davidson is a banker and previously Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Commercial Bank where he worked for over four years and Citibank where he worked for thirty years. In addition to being a Trustee of Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital and Gertrude’s Hospital Foundation, he is a Director of Kenol Kobil Ltd, K.K. Security Ltd and Prime Bank.
Dr. Robert Nyarango
Dr. Robert Nyarango has over thirteen years’ experiences in hospital administration, strategic management, health systems management, healthcare quality improvement, and healthcare risk management. He holds an MSc in Clinical Pharmacy from Queens University, Belfast, and an MBA in Strategic Management from USIU, Africa. He is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and Safety by the Healthcare Quality Certification Commission, USA and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, The National Association for Healthcare Quality, USA, and the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management. Robert is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital. He has authored and contributed to a number of publications.
Mwihaki Muraguri is a creative and dynamic development practitioner with over fifteen years of progressive implementation and management experience in Sub Saharan Africa principally in the fields of health, philanthropy and corporate social responsibility. She is a skilled communicator and writer, dedicated to telling stories about positive Africa. Mwihaki has a Master of Public Policy Concentration: International Health and Policy from Georgetown University, USA.
